About Me
I am an "elder" with six decades behind me. Over the years I have lived and worked in different countries and cultures. I live my life by following my "gut". In other words, by listening to and following my Higher Self - a Higher Guidance - G-D.
I am a person with a healthy curiosity about many things. Mostly about people and their stories. My curiosity occasionally gets me in trouble but mostly it affords me the best education anyone could ever ask for.
Over time I have learned to enjoy life even with the struggles and obstacles that present themselves along the way. These challenges make me mentally and emotionally stronger and ultimately more confident. Best of all I find there is always someone or something that comes to help and give me guidance. In good times as well as the bad. Someone once noted, "You have lots of angels helping you".
I now understand that all of the experiences I have and the wonderful people I meet continue to shape me into the kind of person that today others respect and even regard as a role model. Though this was never my intention I am both flattered and humored. Why humored? Because when I was a young woman, feeling lost and seeking help, my counselor asked me a question I could not answer. "Who is your role model?" Heck. I couldn't think of even one! Why did I even need to have one?
The question remained with me for a long time until I finally came up with an answer. In fact, it turns out that I have quite a few role models. Who are they? My own brilliant children and my incredibly awesome granddaughter all of whom continue to amaze and inspire me. There are countless others - the so-called "ordinary people" who happen to be extremely inspirational in all their "ordinariness". Listed below are people in the public eye who I feel shine brightly. Some have already passed - May Their Memories Be for Blessings.
1) Ms. Isadora Duncan, free spirited dancer.
2) Ms. Barbara Cass-Beggs, pioneer in music for babies and young children. Creator of the "Listen Like Learn/Your Baby Needs Music programs.
3) Ms. Anne Barlin, pioneer in Creative Movement for young children,
4) XIA Kim Junsu, South Korean K-Pop "Idol" singer and musical actor.
5) Ms. Betty White, THE actress of the century! Everyone's hero!
6) Ms. Shirley MacLaine, American actress, singer, author, activist, and former dancer. Out on a limb!
7) Buster Keaton, Brilliant creative American actor/director of the silent film era.
What do they all have in common? They are pioneers, innovators, "movers and shakers" and most importantly, they follow(ed) their "gut" and live(d) their dream.
Don't get me wrong. I am far from perfect. Neither are they. We don't have to be perfect. We all are born with a gift and a purpose. We are all part of a larger puzzle. Every piece is important and necessary to complete the whole puzzle. We simply need to know our unique mission, follow our dream and live our lives joyously.
I look forward to working together with you so that YOU can live YOUR dream!
